New Jersey High School Basketball - Newark Collegiate Academy knocked off by Union City

The Union City Soaring Eagles basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers to 70 in the Soaring Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.
The Soaring Eagles now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dickinson for a Hudson County - American contest on Tuesday, February 8. Union City will meet a Rams team coming off a 53-46 league win over Snyder (Jersey City, NJ). The Rams record now stands at 7-7.
The Panthers (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ). The Ridgers enter the non-league contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Glen Ridge was defeated by North Star Academy (Newark, NJ), 61-54, in a non-league contest.
