The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL), 38-33 in Tuesday's league test.

The Tornadoes (9-17) will now prepare for their test against Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL). The Heat go into the Lincoln Trail test with a 3-24 record. In their last test, Biggsville West Central was tipped by Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL), 58-47, in a league test.

The Princes now own a 16-10 record. They play next when they host Mercer County for a Lincoln Trail test on Friday, February 10. Princeville will encounter a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 60-29 league win over Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 21-7.
