Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Thornton Fractional North Meteors (Calumet City, IL) and the visiting Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals (Blue Island, IL), saw Thornton Fractional North's basketball squad overcome Blue Island Eisenhower by a tally of 63-52.

With the victory, Thornton Fractional North improves its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Meteors host Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL) to play the Hawks in a South Suburban challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 25-2. Hillcrest won 80-42 in their recent league challenge against Richards (Oak Lawn, IL)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL) in a South Suburban challenge, on Friday, February 10. Blue Island Eisenhower will attempt to improve on its 12-16 season record. The Red Wolves come into the challenge with a 15-13 record after their 69-50 non-league win over Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL).
