Bonnabel Bruins (Kenner, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting West Jefferson Buccaneers (Harvey, LA), 89-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Bonnabel upgrades its record to 14-14 on the season. The Bruins travel to Chalmette (Chalmette, LA) to clash with the Owls in a 5A District 8 bout on Friday, February 10. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 9-14. Chalmette lost 52-47 in their recent league bout against East Jefferson (Metairie, LA)

Next up, the Buccaneers clash with the John Ehret Patriots (Marrero, LA) in a 5A District 8 bout, on Thursday, February 9. West Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 18-6 record after their 82-42 league win over Grace King (Metairie, LA).
