West Virginia High School Basketball - Elkins nudges Buckhannon-Upshur

February 7, 2023: Buckhannon, WV 26201

In Tuesday's league outing, the Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV) basketball squad edged the host Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV), by a count of 61-57.

The Tigers (10-7) will now prepare for their outing against Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 9-6 record. In their last outing, Tygarts Valley was tipped by Tucker County (Hambleton, WV), 50-35, in a non-league outing.

The Buccaneers now hold a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Bridgeport for a Big Ten outing on Saturday, February 11. Buckhannon-Upshur will clash with a Indians squad coming off a 52-43 non-league win over Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV). The Indians record now stands at 12-4.
