The Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI) basketball crushed the visiting L'Anse Purple Hornets (L'Anse, MI), 58-36 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Copper Kings (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI). The Mountaineers go into the Mid-Peninsula test with a 13-1 record. In their last test, Iron Mountain walloped Menominee (Menominee, MI), 72-60, in a non-league test.
The Purple Hornets now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Dollar Bay for a non-league test on Thursday, February 9. L'Anse will encounter a Bays squad coming off a 60-39 non-league win over Chassell (Chassell, MI). The Bays record now stands at 6-8.
