In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Central Bearcats (Battle Creek, MI) basketball squad felled the visiting Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI), by a margin of 58-49.
The Bearcats (11-7) will now prepare for their outing against Gull Lake (Richland, MI). The Blue Devils go into the Southwestern Michigan - East outing with a 1-13 record. In their last outing, Gull Lake was beaten by St. Joseph (St. Joseph, MI), 77-62, in a league outing.
The Mustangs now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to Portage Northern for a Southwestern Michigan - West outing on Thursday, February 9. Portage Central will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 74-43 non-league loss to Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI). The Huskies record now stands at 3-13.
