The Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) basketball nipped the host Hitchcock County Falcons (Trenton, NE), 55-53 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Longhorns (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Dundy County-Stratton (Benkelman, NE). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 16-4 record.

The Falcons now own a 11-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wallace for a non-league test on Friday, February 10. Hitchcock County will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 56-39 non-league loss to Southwest (Bartley, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-12.
