Deubrook Dolphins (White, SD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Great Plains Lutheran Panthers (Watertown, SD), 69-63 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Deubrook upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Dolphins host Castlewood (Castlewood, SD) to play the Warriors in a B Region 2 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 13-4. Castlewood won 67-31 in their recent non-league bout against Florence/Henry (Florence, SD)

Next up, the Panthers play the Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Great Plains Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 60-49 non-league win over Webster (Webster, SD).
