The Phoenix Firebirds (Phoenix, NY) basketball felled the host Homer Trojans (Homer, NY), 68-53 in Tuesday's league test.
The Firebirds (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Westhill (Syracuse, NY). The Warriors go into the Section 3 Onondaga - Liberty American test with a 15-3 record. In their last test, Westhill thwarted Skaneateles (Skaneateles, NY), 83-51, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Chittenango for a Section 3 Onondaga - Liberty American test on Wednesday, February 8. Homer will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 94-52 league win over Hannibal (Hannibal, NY). The Bears record now stands at 16-2.
