Independence Indees (Independence, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host New Auburn Trojans (New Auburn, WI), 53-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 6-14 on the season. The Indees host Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran (Eau Claire, WI) to clash with the Lancers in a Dairyland - Small bout on Thursday, February 9. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran lost 55-52 in their recent non-league bout against Spring Valley (Spring Valley, WI)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Prairie Farm Panthers (Prairie Farm, WI) in a Lakeland - East game, on Friday, February 10. New Auburn will attempt to move on its 5-11 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 13-5 record after their 78-55 league win over Cornell (Cornell, WI).
