Tara Trojans (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Istrouma Indians (Baton Rouge, LA), 60-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Tara upgrades its record to 7-20 on the season. The Trojans host St. Michael (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Warriors in a 4A District 6 bout on Friday, February 10. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 9-9. St. Michael lost 58-45 in their recent league bout against McKinley (Baton Rouge, LA)

Next up, the Indians play the Port Allen Pelicans (Port Allen, LA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 15. Istrouma will attempt to upgrade on its 3-19 season record. The Pelicans go into the bout with a 25-3 record after their 53-47 league loss to Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA).
