The Whitney RVT Owls (Hamden, CT) basketball nipped the host Kaynor Tech Panthers (Waterbury, CT), 72-69 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Owls (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Bullard-Havens (Bridgeport, CT). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 7-9 record. In their last test, Bullard-Havens got by Platt RVT (Milford, CT), 62-51, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 1-14 record. They play next when they host Wilcox RVT for a Connecticut Technical - South test on Friday, February 10. Kaynor Tech will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 68-30 non-league loss to Abbott RVT (Danbury, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-14.
