The Newcomb Central Mountaineers basketball team (Newcomb, NY), dropped 63-48 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Keene Central Beavers (Keene Valley, NY)
The Beavers now possess a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boquet Valley for a Section 7 Mountain Valley battle on Thursday, February 9. Keene Central will battle a Griffins team coming off a 52-51 league loss to Schroon Lake (Schroon Lake, NY). The Griffins record now stands at 11-7.
The Mountaineers (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Johnsburg Central (North Creek, NY). The Jaguars come into the Section 7 Mountain Valley battle with a 3-15 record. In their last battle, Johnsburg Central dropped by Crown Point (Crown Point, NY), 85-35, in a league battle.
