Illinois High School Basketball - Providence-St. Mel overwhelmed by Loyola Academy

The Providence-St. Mel Knights basketball team (Chicago, IL), was overwhelmed 64-27 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL)
The Ramblers now possess a 21-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Rita for a Chicago Catholic - Blue battle on Friday, February 10. Loyola Academy will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 74-60 league win over Marmion (Aurora, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-10.
The Knights (3-21) will now prepare for their battle against De La Salle (Chicago, IL). The Meteors come into the Chicago Catholic - White battle with a 19-9 record. In their last battle, De La Salle trounced Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL), 59-54, in a league battle.
