Monroe Central Seminoles (Woodsfield, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Southern Indians (Salineville, OH), 61-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monroe Central upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season.

Next up, the Indians play the Shadyside Tigers (Shadyside, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Southern will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 11-9 record after their 43-31 league loss to River (Hannibal, OH).
