Warner Monarchs (Warner, SD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Redfield Pheasants (Redfield, SD), 47-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Warner upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Monarchs travel to Florence/Henry (Florence, SD) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 7-8. Florence/Henry lost 67-31 in their recent non-league bout against Castlewood (Castlewood, SD)

Next up, the Pheasants play the Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) in a A Region 1 bout, on Thursday, February 9. Redfield will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 62-21 non-league win over North Central (Eureka, SD).
