The Salem Wildcats basketball team (Salem, IL), was nudged 51-45 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL)
The Bulldogs now sport a 7-21 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jersey for a Mississippi Valley battle on Friday, February 10. Waterloo will battle a Panthers team coming off a 76-57 non-league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 14-13.
The Wildcats (6-22) will now prepare for their battle against East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Oilers come into the Cahokia - Mississippi battle with a 12-16 record. In their last battle, East Alton-Wood River edged Mt. Olive (Mt. Olive, IL), 77-24, in a non-league battle.
