The Salmen Spartans basketball team (Slidell, LA), was nudged 57-55 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host University Lab Cubs (Baton Rouge, LA)

The Cubs now possess a 14-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Doyle for a 3A District 6 battle on Wednesday, February 8. University Lab will confront a Tigers team coming off a 73-67 non-league win over Holden (Holden, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-10.

The Spartans (18-6) will now prepare for their battle against Franklinton (Franklinton, LA). The Demons come into the 4A District 8 battle with a 7-16 record.
