The Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD) basketball knocked off the host Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds (Wolsey, SD), 62-52 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Spartans (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Hitchcock-Tulare (Hitchcock, SD). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Hitchcock-Tulare notched a victory over Iroquois/Lake Preston (Iroquois, SD), 71-65, in a non-league test.
The Warbirds now own a 12-2 record. They play next when they host DeSmet for a B Region 2 test on Thursday, February 9. Wolsey-Wessington will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 68-30 non-league win over Flandreau (Flandreau, SD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-3.
