The Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Shrine Catholic Knights to 34 in the Fighting Irish non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Fighting Irish now sport a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenhills for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Gabriel Richard will meet a Gryphons team coming off a 27-11 non-league loss to Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, MI). The Gryphons record now stands at 3-11.
The Knights (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills, MI). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Detroit Country Day triumphed over Marian (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 69-44, in a non-league contest.
