Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI), 45-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Hope upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Huskies travel to West Warwick (West Warwick, RI) to play the Wizards in a Division 2 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Wizards go into the bout with a record of 14-5. West Warwick won 59-45 in their recent league bout against Tiverton (Tiverton, RI)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Thursday, February 9. Prout will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Kilties go into the bout with a 0-16 record after their 71-29 league loss to Tolman/Shea (Pawtucket, RI).
