O'Neill Eagles (O'Neill, NE) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Plainview Pirates (Plainview, NE), 48-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, O'Neill upgrades its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Ord (Ord, NE) to play the Chanticleers in a C1 District 10 bout on Friday, February 10. The Chanticleers come into the bout with a record of 10-12. Ord lost 58-40 in their recent non-league bout against Broken Bow (Broken Bow, NE)

Next up, the Pirates play the Creighton Bulldogs (Creighton, NE) in a D1 District 5 bout, on Friday, February 10. Plainview will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 4-17 record after their 54-40 non-league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NE).
