Southwest Roughriders (Bartley, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wallace Wildcats (Wallace, NE), 58-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southwest upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Roughriders host Axtell (Axtell, NE) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Axtell won 43-27 in their recent league bout against Loomis (Loomis, NE)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Hitchcock County Falcons (Trenton, NE) in a D2 District 9 bout, on Friday, February 10. Wallace will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 4-16 record after their 54-23 non-league loss to Chase County (Imperial, NE).
