Sweet Home Panthers (Amherst, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Alden Bulldogs (Alden, NY), 61-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sweet Home upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Panthers host Starpoint (Lockport, NY) to clash with the Spartans in a bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 4-7.

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Kennedy Bears (Cheektowaga, NY) in a bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Alden will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 71-20 league loss to Alden (Alden, NY).
