Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC), 79-63 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cannon upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC) to play the Hawks in a bout on Friday, February 10. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 4-13. Charlotte Latin won 43-36 in their recent league bout against Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Chargers play the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers (Charlotte, NC) in a bout, on Friday, February 10. Providence Day will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 69-31 league win over Covenant Day (Matthews, NC).
