Dowagiac Chieftains (Dowagiac, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Bridgman Bees (Bridgman, MI), 60-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dowagiac upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Chieftains host Brandywine (Niles, MI) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 14-2. Brandywine won 74-34 in their recent non-league bout against Bronson (Bronson, MI)

Next up, the Bees play the Fennville Blackhawks (Fennville, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 9. Bridgman will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 58-23 non-league loss to Saugatuck (Saugatuck, MI).
