Banneker Bulldogs (Washington, DC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Roosevelt Roughriders (Washington, DC), 56-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Banneker upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Bulldogs host Ballou (Washington, DC) to play the Knights in a DCSAA bout on Friday, February 9. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 0-12. Ballou lost 57-23 in their recent non-league bout against DC International (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Roughriders play the KIPP College Prep Panthers (Washington, DC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Roosevelt will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 33-9 league win over KIPP DC Legacy College Prep (Washington, DC).
