The Calvert Cavaliers basketball team (Prince Frederick, MD), was overwhelmed 46-16 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD)
The Cougars now possess a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Great Mills for a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, February 9. Thomas Stone will confront a Hornets team coming off a 54-41 league win over Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Hornets record now stands at 13-5.
The Cavaliers (2-17) will now prepare for their battle against Chopticon (Morganza, MD). The Braves come into the Southern Maryland battle with a 7-12 record. In their last battle, Chopticon was overwhelmed by Northern (Owings, MD), 46-35, in a league battle.
