Grant Tigers (Grant, MI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Central Montcalm Hornets (Stanton, MI), 43-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Grant upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Chippewa Hills (Remus, MI) to clash with the Warriors in a Central State bout on Friday, February 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 1-13. Chippewa Hills lost 41-33 in their recent non-league bout against Harrison (Harrison, MI)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Kent City Eagles (Kent City, MI) in a Central State bout, on Friday, February 9. Central Montcalm will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 44-31 non-league win over Mason County Central (Scottville, MI).
