The Hiland Hawks (Berlin, OH) basketball nipped the host Smithville Smithies (Smithville, OH), 48-44 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Hawks (18-2) will now prepare for their test against Strasburg-Franklin (Strasburg, OH). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 16-4 record. In their last test, Strasburg-Franklin got by Buckeye Trail (Lore City, OH), 53-22, in a league test.
