Saranac Lake Red Storm (Saranac Lake, NY) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY), 47-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Saranac Lake upgrades its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Red Storm host Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY) to play the Sentinels in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II bout on Monday, February 12. The Sentinels come into the bout with a record of 12-5.

Next up, the Hornets play the Saranac Spartans (Saranac, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout, on Friday, February 9. Plattsburgh will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 57-36 league win over AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY).
