Connecticut High School Ice Hockey - Frederick Gunn holds off Avon Old Farms

The Frederick Gunn Highlanders edged the host Avon Old Farms Beavers ice hockey squad by a tally of 4-3 in Wednesday's league bout.
With the victory, Frederick Gunn betters its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Brunswick School (Greenwich, CT) to confront the Bruins in a bout on Friday, February 9. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 21-5. Brunswick School lost 4-3 in their recent league bout against Cushing Academy (Ashburnham, MA)
The Beavers now have a 17-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Deerfield Academy for a bout on Saturday, February 10. Avon Old Farms will confront a Big Green squad coming off a 5-1 league win over Loomis Chaffee School (Windsor, CT). The Big Green record now stands at 11-7.
