The McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC), 55-12 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Titans (16-0) will now prepare for their test against Asheville (Asheville, NC). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Asheville was trounced by T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC), 50-43, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 0-10 record. They play next when they travel to Watauga for a non-league outing on Friday, February 9. Hibriten will clash with a Pioneers squad coming off a 58-51 non-league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 10-6.
