The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Southern Missouri RUSH (Springfield, MO) and the host Ash Grove Pirates (Ash Grove, MO), observed Southern Missouri RUSH's basketball team overcome Ash Grove by a score of 53-37.

The (21-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Metro Academy (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Mavericks come into the non-league challenge with a 17-11 record. In their last challenge, Metro Academy defeated VLJ Christian Academy (Kansas City, MO), 77-25, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Marionville Comets (Marionville, MO) in a Southwest challenge, on Monday, February 10. Ash Grove will attempt to improve on its 11-10 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 51-49 non-league win over Spokane (Spokane, MO).
