The Avalon Black Knights basketball team scored 71 points and limited the host Covenant Life Cougars to 63 in the Black Knights non-league triumph on Friday.

The Black Knights now have a 12-9 record. They play next when they host King's Christian Academy for a Maryland Independent game on Saturday, February 8. Avalon will confront a Eagles team coming off a 79-73 league loss to Southern Maryland Christian Academy (White Plains, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 6-17.

With the loss, Covenant Life falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Rockbridge Academy (Millersville, MD) to confront the Scots in a Freelance game on Monday, February 10. The Scots go into the game with a record of 6-9. Rockbridge Academy won 48-45 in their recent league game against Mount Airy Christian Academy (Mount Airy, MD)
