The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Calverton (Huntingtown, MD) and the visiting BASIS Red Giants (Washington, DC), observed Calverton's basketball team knock off BASIS by a score of 60-50.

The (5-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Southern Maryland Christian Academy (White Plains, MD). The Mustangs come into the Maryland Independent challenge with a 15-7 record.
