Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Savannah Country Day Hornets (Savannah, GA), 65-43 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Effingham County upgrades its record to 10-15 on the year. The Rebels travel to Greenbrier (Evans, GA) to face the Wolfpack in a AAAAA Region 1 match on Saturday, February 8. The Wolfpack enter the match with a record of 14-8. Greenbrier won 46-43 in their recent league match against Effingham County (Springfield, GA)

The Hornets now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Toombs County for a A D1 Region 3 match on Saturday, February 8. Savannah Country Day will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 72-37 non-league win over Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-10.
