The Olathe West Owls basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Lawrence Free State Firebirds to 64 in the Owls league triumph on Friday.

The Owls now have a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Shawnee Mission North for a Sunflower game on Tuesday, February 11. Olathe West will confront a Bison team coming off a 71-69 league loss to Gardner-Edgerton (Gardner, KS). The Bison record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, Lawrence Free State falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Olathe South (Olathe, KS) to confront the Falcons in a Sunflower game on Tuesday, February 11. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 8-4. Olathe South won 64-62 in their recent league game against Olathe Northwest (Olathe, KS)
