In Friday's non-league contest, the host Lexington Catholic Knights basketball team scored a close 47-46 win over the Trinity Shamrocks.
The Knights (15-9) will now prepare for their contest against Madison Central (Richmond, KY). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 17-8 record. In their last contest, Madison Central edged Collins (Shelbyville, KY), 61-53, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Shamrocks battle the Cathedral Fighting Irish (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 8. Trinity will attempt to better on its 10-14 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the contest with a 13-4 record after their 84-66 non-league win over Winton Woods (Cincinnati, OH).
