South Dakota High School Basketball - Sturgis Brown succumbs to Mitchell

The Mitchell Kernels defeated the visiting Sturgis Brown Scoopers basketball squad by a final score of 72-55 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Kernels clash with the Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) in a AA outing, on Saturday, February 8. Mitchell will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Spartans come into the outing with a 9-3 record after their 70-47 non-league win over Lead-Deadwood (Lead, SD).

The Scoopers (5-9) will now prepare for their outing against Huron (Huron, SD). The Tigers come into the AA outing with a 9-4 record. In their last outing, Huron was defeated by Roosevelt (Sioux Falls, SD), 60-58, in a league outing.
