The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) and the visiting Wayland Warriors (Wayland, MA), observed Newton South's basketball team overcome Wayland by a margin of 68-57.
The Lions (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Burke (Dorchester, MA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Nipmuc Regional Warriors (Upton, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 10. Wayland will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 59-46 league loss to Blackstone-Millville (Blackstone, MA).
