The Russell Broncos (Russell, KS) basketball were winner over the visiting Oakley Plainsmen (Oakley, KS), 59-45 in Friday's league bout.

The Broncos now possess a 9-7 record. They play next when they host Thomas More Prep-Marian for a Mid-Continent bout on Tuesday, February 11. Russell will play a Monarchs team coming off a 57-46 league win over Smith Center (Smith Center, KS). The Monarchs record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, Oakley falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Plainsmen host Hoxie (Hoxie, KS) to play the Indians in a Mid-Continent bout on Monday, February 10. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Hoxie won 66-56 in their recent league bout against Smith Center (Smith Center, KS)
