The Akiak Thunderbolts (Akiak, AK) basketball were winner over the host Akula Elitnaurvik Tundra Foxes (Kasigluk, AK), 81-62 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Thunderbolts now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Tuluksak for a 1A Greater Kuskokwim bout on Friday, February 14. Akiak will play a Wolverines team coming off a 39-22 non-league loss to Dillingham (Dillingham, AK). The Wolverines record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, Akula Elitnaurvik falls to 1-7 on the campaign.
