The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cimarron Bluejays (Cimarron, KS) and the host Lakin Broncs (Lakin, KS), observed Cimarron's basketball team overcome Lakin by a score of 48-38.

The Bluejays (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Holcomb (Holcomb, KS). The Longhorns come into the Great Western challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Holcomb dropped by Colby (Colby, KS), 53-40, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Broncs battle the Liberal Redskins (Liberal, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Lakin will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 67-40 league win over Great Bend (Great Bend, KS).
