The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Tiospa Zina Wambdi (Agency Village, SD) and the visiting Flandreau Indian Indians (Flandreau, SD), observed Tiospa Zina's basketball team knock off Flandreau Indian by a score of 48-29.
The Wambdi (6-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] (Rosholt, SD). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 9-10 record. In their last challenge, Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] prevailed over Hankinson (Hankinson, ND), 60-41, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians battle the Bridgewater/Emery Huskies (Emery, SD) in a B Region 3 challenge, on Monday, February 10. Flandreau Indian will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 55-28 non-league loss to Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD).
