In Friday's league test, the Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), by a score of 35-23.
Next, the Golden Tors encounter the Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) in a 5A District 3 test, on Tuesday, February 11. Sulphur will attempt to improve on its 24-3 season record. The Sharks come into the test with a 10-15 record after their 56-40 league loss to Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA).
The Yellowjackets (17-9) will now prepare for their test against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA). The Buccaneers come into the 5A District 3 test with a 25-4 record.
