The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI) and the visiting Providence Country Day Knights (East Providence, RI), observed Woonsocket's basketball team knock off Providence Country Day by a score of 45-34.
The Villa Novans (4-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Achievement First Providence (Providence, RI). The Falcons come into the Division III challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Achievement First Providence was knocked off by Block Island (New Shoreham, RI), 48-16, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Knights encounter the Davies Career & Tech Patriots (Lincoln, RI) in a Division III challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Providence Country Day will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 50-32 league win over Block Island (New Shoreham, RI).
