West Virginia High School Basketball - Lincoln nips Preston

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Lincoln Cougars basketball team scored a close 35-29 win over the Preston Knights.

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Chapmanville Regional was tipped by St. Albans (St. Albans, WV), 43-16, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the North Marion Huskies (Farmington, WV) in a contest, on Monday, February 10. Preston will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record.
