The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cushing Academy Penguins (Ashburnham, MA) and the visiting Vermont Academy Wildcats (Saxtons River, VT), witnessed Cushing Academy's ice hockey team defeat Vermont Academy by a score of 7-2.

The Penguins (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Brunswick School (Greenwich, CT). The Bruins come into the non-league challenge with a 19-7 record. In their last challenge, Brunswick School got by Hoosac (Hoosick, NY), 5-2, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Hoosac Owls (Hoosick, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 12. Vermont Academy will attempt to better on its 6-17 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Brunswick School (Greenwich, CT).
